Thassos White Marble is an elegant stone that provides a superb finishing touch to any prestigious project. Thassos marble is pure-white and displays a quartz crystalline structure that resembles freshly fallen snow. For that reason it is commonly referred also as Thassos snow-white. The material is quarried exclusively in the island of Thassos, Greece. Thassos White Marble is categorized into quality grades of Extra, A, A1, A2, A3 and A4. Quality is determined by a combination of the natural color of the stone, the consistency of the crystalline structure and the Level of impurity (stains, mineral deposits, inclusions and veining). The Extra grade is the “cleanest” quality rating followed by A, A1, A2, A3 and A4.
